An Ode to Soul that has been Loved - Part 1

This is an image of my sister Gauri (left), Me (spiderman), and my sister Vrinda (right).
Back in 2002, Spiderman by Sam Rami was released, it was a game-changing phenomenon in the superhero universe, all three of us were huge fans. It was surreal to witness our superhero swinging with web shooting out of his wrist and saving people's lives and protecting people who couldn't protect themselves.

So, our trio played the spiderman-spiderman game where we used to imagine the brown bear as the villain creature, who was controlled by an evil mastermind (Vrinda-right one). Gauri (left) was scared of that bear as it was ginormous and had a weird smirk on its face, so we used to make her the victim of evil bear... and as you guessed, I was the Friendly neighborhood spiderman who saved the terrified girl and beat the evil.

We were in the middle of our game, I was about to rescue Gauri who was genuinely scared of the bear and then, my mom clicked this photograph.
the reason I love this photograph so much is that it locks all the emotions we were feeling back then very carefully and keep the memories intact.
This is one of my best memory with my sister(Gauri), who passed away shortly after, at the age of 3 due to leukemia.

  1. Took me back to my childhood days where we could be anyhting we want to be and be our crazy selves. The expression on the faces are self-explanatory about how much you enjoyed being spider man and gauri freaking out because of the bear. Such a beautiful capture to cherish forever and these words intensifying the memory. ❤
